Theatre

There's a choice of two main venues in Abergavenny - the Borough Theatre and the smaller Melville Theatre. There's usually something going on - please check their websites or give the box office a call for the latest events and details.

The Borough Theatre

Situated within the Town Hall, the Borough Theatre hosts many and varied shows, plays, musicals and more throughout the year. Famous patrons from the past include The Beatles, who played here back in 1963.

The Melville Theatre

Small but perfectly formed, the Melville Theatre is home to Gwent Theatre, a company that employs professional actors, writers, musicians, designers and technicians. It usually puts on around four productions per year.

It's also home to Gwent Young People's Theatre - a youth group for all those aged 10-20 interested in all aspects of performance.
